Review of Wool Pack Standard
AWEX is commencing a review of the Wool Pack Standard.
The review will be undertaken by ISAC and consider all aspects of the wool pack standard to ensure that it meets the commercial needs of the industry today. The review will consider issues related to the quality assurance programs, on-farm preparation, pressing, transportation, warehousing, dumping and shipping of wool. The review will also consider all aspects of the progress of the wool pack from farm to processor. An important aspect of the review will be to ensure that the wool pack assists the wool bale consistently comply with the legal requirement of load width of road transportation.
ISAC has been advised of the review and additional skills will be seconded for the review.
